If you're traveling through the charming country town of Dunedoo in New South Wales, make sure to drop by Kakkadoo Kafe. Nestled at 106 Bolaro St, this delightful café is a haven for road trippers and locals alike, known for its warm atmosphere and scrumptious offerings.

The moment you step inside Kakkadoo Kafe, you’re greeted by friendly staff and an inviting ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The café is not just a pit stop; it’s a place to pause, relax, and indulge in a delightful menu that caters to a variety of tastes. From hearty breakfast options to light lunch fare, Kakkadoo has something for everyone!

Start your day with their irresistible bacon and egg roll paired with a freshly brewed cup of coffee, as recommended by Sarah Greenwood, who raved about their fresh and tasty breakfast. If you're in the mood for comfort food, you simply cannot miss their handcrafted pies. Eddy S Dharmadji shares his enthusiasm for them, noting that they are a must-have in this quaint town. With flaky, golden pastry and generous, chunky fillings, Kakkadoo's pies are sure to become a highlight of your visit!

Neil Miller echoes this sentiment with his enthusiastic praise for the “bloody good pie” that left him utterly satisfied. For those who enjoy a touch of spice, their selection of sausage rolls is equally compelling—gloriously flaky and packed with flavor, they are the perfect accompaniment to your coffee.

And let’s not forget about the little ones! Kakkadoo Kafe makes it a family-friendly affair with a variety of treats that include healthy salad rolls and refreshing fruit smoothies, ensuring everyone leaves happy and fulfilled. As Allen Woodbury noted in his review, the café not only serves substantial meals but also caters to health-conscious diners, offering a well-rounded menu that doesn’t skimp on taste.

Of course, no café experience is complete without a nod to the coffee, and at Kakkadoo, they take their brews seriously! Several coffees crafted to perfection set the tone for a laid-back afternoon or an energizing start to your morning. Karlene Heathcote enjoyed her double egg and bacon Turkish roll, complemented by a medium tea, even though she wished for presentation in mugs rather than takeaway cups. The friendly yet occasionally overwhelmed service — a reminder of how beloved this cafe is — only adds to the character of this local gem.

So whether you’re on a road trip like Sarah and her companions, or just passing through, Kakkadoo Kafe stands out as a must-visit destination. The combination of hearty food, friendly service, and homey atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to recharge before hitting the road again. Come for the food, stay for the experience, and support a true local treasure!

Husband had a plain meat pie & I had the double egg & bacon Turkish roll. We both had a medium tea. Husband said the pie was delicious with nice big chunks of meat. The double egg. & Bacon roll was amazing & really hot Would have liked the teas in a mug but they only use takeaway cups. The gentleman serving was a bit abrupt when I asked for a pastie (they don't make pasties only pies), it was busy at the time.

Had the lamb shank with mash pie & iced coffee, was absolutely amazing! My friend had a hot chocolate & chicken pie, she rated it too. Definitely would recommend stopping over if you’re passing through!

This pie ticked all the right boxes with me. I like a chunky pie with real meat in them. I’ve had a few too many pies in my day and this one will be one of my favourites. Good reason to drive to this town
